Joking, laughter, beautiful singing and hugging summarise my enduring memory of Stuart Burrows. I was sitting on the stage when he and Mark sang a duet of the Cavan O’Connor song “Goodnight. They were jokingly competing with each other and it was evenly matched with trills etc. Mark set up the ending perfectly with a falsetto morendo then, with perfect timing, before Mark had finished singing, Stuart jumped in front of him, right hand outstretched and sang a very loud “Good Night” 😂. They laughed, hugged and tapped each other on the back, it was the end of the concert. With my deepest condolences to your family and close friends, rest peacefully Stuart, safe in the knowledge that we’ll be talking about you and Mozart, forever.

Thanks for the joy of your voice and the inspiration that it evoked. The word “legend” is overused but in Stuart’s case the word sits perfectly. Deepest condolences to the family at this difficult time. Sing on in heaven Stuart, sing on xx
